Mr. Astrachan has been with the SBJ Group since 1998. He graduated from Columbia College in 1990 and obtained his Master of Architecture degree from Harvard’s Graduate School of Design in 1995. He started his career at the SBJGroup as the project manager for the Hotel Giraffe and followed the project through from its design inception to the final construction punch list. Since then he has worked on many different hospitality and residential projects, including 325 Fifth Avenue and the Gansevoort Park Avenue Hotel. He is currently working on several residential towers and hotels including a modular hotel for citizenM.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Astrachan worked with Didier Repellin, chief architect and inspector-general of historic monuments in France.
Originally from the village of Gordes in the south of France and Detroit, Michigan, Mr. Astrachan currently resides in New York City with his wife and son.
