This project encompasses the renovation of 3,000 s/f with the addition of a 500 s/f roof deck. One major goal was to maximize the natural light in a north facing apartment. It was achieved with skylights and the reconfiguration of the interior stair. The new placement of the stair allowed for an additional bath on the second level, and allows for light to transmit between floors. Another major goal of the clients' was to maximize their return on investment by adding a third bedroom with on suite bathroom and utilizing all three levels of outdoor space. The third deck was increased by extending the roof structure. Finally, fixtures and finishes were determined to enhance the scheme. Neutral warm tones were used to keep with the openness of the space, and helped in making this space into a comfortable and inviting home.
