This building, located at the heart of New York's historic Greenwich Village, recreates the bulk and scale that existed on the site many years ago, in a building that grows out of the surrounding neighborhood context. While clearly a 20th century addition to the prevailing 19th century context, this project reinforces that context and is not an intrusion. This project contains six duplex townhouse units, ranging in size from 1,500 to over 2,500 sf. Most of the units have outdoor roof gardens, two-story living rooms, eat-in kitchens, and huge bathrooms, creating an experience akin to country living in the city.
