The conversion and expansion of an existing manufacturing building into a 4-story K-12 school consisting of 67,000 sf. The expansion includes new educational and recreational spaces including indoor gymnasium and outdoor playgrounds. Two courtyards were created in the center of the building to provide natural lighting for interior classrooms. The structure is wrapped with an insulating cladding system and high-efficiency windows to maintain optimal interior learning environments in this dynamic neighborhood. Metal panels were designed in a weaving pattern to bring the schools color palette and logo to life on the building’s facade.
