Sunny Patel joined the SBJ Group in 2008. He is a graduate of Columbia University (MS Architecture and Urban Design) & Gujarat University, India (Bachelor of Architecture).
As both a designer and project manager, he approaches building design projects with substantial knowledge and understanding of building codes, accessibility and intricate zoning regulations along with abilities to make the design vision a reality. Mr. Patel has managed and worked on many high-rise building projects consisting of high end residential, mixed-use and hospitality projects. His responsibilities include design development and engineering systems coordination, filing and approval process with The Department of Buildings, construction documents, and construction administration. His current projects include a 41 story high-rise residential building in Midtown Manhattan, a 19 story high end residential building on the Upper West Side, a 20 story boutique hotel in the L.E.S neighborhood of NYC, and exploratory studies for Modular construction.
Mr. Patel is passionate about the work he does and believes in translating complexity into simplicity, and maintaining effective communication within the project team.
