Thorsten Foerster moved to New York from Germany in 1999 to pursue a Bachelor of Architecture at Pratt Institute, and then completed a Master of Architecture at the University of Colorado. After graduating in 2005, he returned to New York City and worked in a small architecture firm in Brooklyn, where he gained experience in all phases of a project.
Mr. Foerster joined Stephen B. Jacobs Group in 2012 as the senior project manager for 70 Pine Street, a one million square foot historic luxury high-rise residential conversion in the heart of the Financial District. Since joining Stephen B. Jacobs Group, Mr. Foerster has led teams on various mixed-use residential projects, hospitality and high-rise projects. Mr. Foerster combines his pragmatic and technical approach to project management with his experience in design, client interaction, building codes and construction administration, to successfully complete a project.
Mr. Foerster has worked as project manager on new residential high-rise buildings, such as a 14-story in the East Village along Houston Street. He is also involved in the construction administration of two new high-rise buildings, a 41-story residential on 34th Street and a 21-story on Madison Avenue in midtown Manhattan.
Mr. Foerster lives in Brooklyn with his wife and son.
